Belongs here: any institution whose primary function is operating a trading venue or clearing infrastructure for securities or derivatives. Does not belong here: bodies that regulate how exchanges and market participants must behave without operating a trading venue themselves, grouped under Regulatory and Standard-Setting Bodies, or agencies that rate the creditworthiness of issuers on those exchanges rather than trade their securities, grouped under Credit Rating Agencies.
