The Shenzhen Stock Exchange, formally established on December 1, 1990 and opened for trading on July 3, 1991, operates in the Futian district of Shenzhen as one of three independent stock exchanges in mainland China alongside the Shanghai and Beijing exchanges. It ranks as the world's sixth-largest stock exchange, with market capitalization surpassing 7.35 trillion dollars and roughly 2,879 listed companies as of May 2026.
