Indicators describing the money supply, the interest-rate and credit environment set by monetary policy, and the pricing and volatility of financial markets themselves, including a central bank's own policy rate, market-implied volatility and the spread between short and long-term government borrowing costs. Belongs here: monetary-policy and money-supply measures, and indicators whose subject is the financial markets and the credit conditions they set. Does not belong here: an indicator of real economic activity such as output or employment, even one strongly influenced by monetary policy, which belongs under its own subject-matter group instead.
