Concept entities are the theories, models, laws and analytical tools this atlas documents, grouped by the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) top-level classification, the discipline's own standard scheme for organizing the whole of economics into General Economics, History of Economic Thought, Mathematical Methods, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, International Economics, Financial Economics, Public Economics, Labor Economics, Law and Economics, Industrial Organization, Business Economics, Economic History, Development and Growth, Economic Systems, Agricultural and Environmental Economics, Urban and Regional Economics and further miscellaneous and special-topic bands. This band is where a reader browses economics by its ideas rather than by the people who proposed them or the schools that champion them; all twenty JEL top-level bands are already minted as subcategories from the atlas's founding structure wave, though several carry no live concept yet and will fill as the atlas's width push reaches them, so the tree is complete in shape well ahead of being complete in membership.
