The Heritage Foundation is a conservative think tank based in Washington, D.C., founded on February 16, 1973. It rose to particular influence during the presidency of Ronald Reagan, whose administration is estimated to have implemented roughly sixty percent of the foundation's policy recommendations, and it has remained one of the most influential policy organizations in the United States, in 2010 founding the sister advocacy group Heritage Action.
